The winner of the architectural competition for the future brownfield development of the former East Slovak Printing Works in the centre of Košice, Slovakia is Kuba & Pilař architects. In cooperation with the KOPA-DESIGN architects from Košice, they will work together to develop the concept of the whole new district into the documentation for the zoning procedure. This will create a unique modern part of Košice with apartments, shops, services and valuable public space.

On the last day of June and with participation of many important guests, the act of laying of the foundation stone of our Marina Garden residential project took place in Dresden, Germany. A total of 210 energy-efficient sustainable apartments with 1-room to 4-room layouts will offer a unique view of the Elbe and Dresden skyline. Completion of construction is scheduled for 2024.

Yesterday we celebrated the completion of the new CTR group headquarters in Prague – Žižkov, meeting each other over delicious grilled food and glasses of fine drinks. Great weather and unique rooftop terrace with a view of Prague provided us with the ideal conditions for getting to know each other as the employees of the individual companies of the group have been moved to the new premises from three different locations. We love our new offices and hope that we will work here as best we can!!

On our teambuilding on Monday we had a chance to try (for many of us even for the very first time) a new sport activity – curling in the Curling Aréna Praha Roztyly. Relatively fast, all of us became familiar with the ice brooms and stones and we could play several thrilling and even matches. After the effort, we had a chance to recover, refill energy a talk to each other over delicious meals and beverages.

A week ago, immediately after Russia started their invasion of Ukraine, we decided to provide all 24 currently vacant apartments in Košice Rental Apartments free of charge to Ukrainian refugees expelled from their homeland by the war. In one week we managed to buy, assemble and furnish the flats and during the last weekend the first Ukrainian citizens have already moved in. We believe that our contribution will be useful and maybe inspire many others who can also help.

A few weeks ago, we launched the long-awaited sales of apartments and studios in the center of Prague in our Viktoria Center residence. Today we launched our architectural design competition for the large development area of the former East Slovakian print in Kosice. Our aim is to create a valuable public space and design the right mix of all urban functions in a compact downtown area. Today we signed a general contract with Dreßler Bau GmbH, that will complete the construction of our project Marina Garden in Dresden.

From Vinohrady to Žižkov… Finally! After occupancy permit, we also managed to move into our new offices of the CTR group before end of this year! Our largest real estate project in Slovakia – the brownfield of Vychodoslovenske tlaciarne in Kosice – goes on successfully. On Wednesday, we signed a cooperation agreement with Ing. Jaroslav Polacek, Kosice mayor. On the same day, we also managed the first meeting of the jury of the urban-architectural competition, from which we expect several quality proposals for the transformation of the brownfield into a new, modern city district with housing, services and civic amenities. We are aiming high and already looking forward to great ideas of recognized Slovak and Czech architects!

We proudly announce that the building permit for our mixed-use project Viktoria Center with apartments, offices and shops in the center of Prague has been finally granted! We celebrated it right away in the newly approved building. And we are already looking forward to moving into new premises!

Last weekend, teams of our Czech and Slovak real estate divisions took part in the International Peace Marathon in Kosice, Slovakia. In addition to demanding sports performance and well-deserved gastronomic experience in local restaurants, we also visited all of our finished projects, inspected the ongoing construction of the Rezidencia Albelli and also the new development area of Vychodoslovenske tlaciarne presented by architect Juraj Koban.

Congratulations to Mr. Samuel Andrejcik, a double-gold winner at this year’s Paralympic Games in Tokyo! As a thank you for the great representation, we were happy to tailor his new apartment in Rezidencia Albelli Kosice to fit his individual needs as well as possible. In Regensburg where we operate our furnished serviced Marina Apartments, we decided to support the local football club SSV Jahn Regensburg playing the 2nd Bundesliga. Moreover, we also support the Albert-Schweitzer Realschule Regensburg.

The finishing of the construction of Viktoria Center building in the center of Prague is coming soon. The occupancy permit inspection takes place in a few weeks, so finishing works on interiors, exteriors and facades are currently underway.
