The entire Košice city was alive with sports this weekend. A series of races concluded by the 100th INTERNATIONAL PEACE MARATHON took place, and all runners and guests could enjoy this special atmosphere. Our colleagues proudly represented our WatsoNova project and seven of them took to the track in different disciplines. Two colleagues ran the half marathon, one team of four took part in the marathon relay and one even ran the whole marathon! As in any sport, the important thing is not to win, but to participate! Congratulations to all the runners for their personal performance!

We are starting with preparations for the project Karlova Ves Residence in Bratislava. We plan to build two houses connected by an underground parking garage. We are currently counting with 58 apartments and about 2000 m2 of commercial space. The future residents will be able to enjoy beautiful views and, thanks to the modern architectural design, plenty of privacy. An indisputable advantage will also be the excellent accessibility to the city center.

We are very pleased that our project in Dresden, Marina Garden, and its surroundings are now finished. We celebrated the completion during a meeting with colleagues by tasting a special cake in the shape of our buildings. Over the last few days, the project also passed its first flood stress test. We are delighted that our landscaping and the constructed detention basins have protected the houses as expected by a large margin and therefore our clients’ investments are safe.

Our newest project, which will be built in Dresden on the corner of Löbtauer Straße and Fröbelstraße, is called FRÖBELHÖFE. We want to stay close to the legacy of Friedrich Wilhelm August Fröbel, the founder of the modern kindergarten and his idea of playful form of education for children as early as preschool age. We will translate his work into a number of playgrounds and other elements in the peaceful courtyard and thus support our goal of building truly affordable and comfortable living not only for families, but also for couples and individuals. Each of our development projects is special in its own way. We approach the project WatsoNova with respect for the tradition and history of the site – the former East Slovak Printing Works. When we discovered an old printing press on the site which was ready for demolition, we couldn’t let it be destroyed. Our colleagues have carefully stored it in Košice and in the future, we plan to display it in the shopping gallery. You can look forward to it.

CTR Real Estate is constantly searching for interesting development locations, so that we can consistently provide our clients with quality and superior housing. We are pleased to announce that we have expanded our portfolio with a new property we have purchased in Dresden at the corner of Löbtauer Straße and Fröbelstraße, where we plan to build a modern residential complex – eight elegant houses, with a total of 105 units. We will be presenting this project in more detail soon!

In June, the colleagues from Cement, Transport and Real Estate divisions from the CTR Group, have met on the terrace of the company’s headquarters in Prague to celebrate the successes we have achieved together over the last period. The evening was full of grilled specialties, great wine and refreshing cocktails. We all enjoyed the atmosphere, highlighted by the sunset and the view of Prague Castle.

The grand opening of the Marina Garden project took place with the presence of the media representatives We organized the grand opening of the project Marina GARDEN in Dresden to take place on June 12th 2024. The project was built on a brownfield site with a unique and unrepeatable location on the banks of the Elbe river. The journalists appreciated not only the location, the view of the river and the centre of the city Dresden, but also the green courtyard, the large glass windows, the low energy consumption and the high standard of design, including cooled ceilings (modern air conditioning). Marina Garden project in Dresden has been approved after final inspection! We are very pleased to announce the successful approval for the use of the Marina Graden apartments. Currently, we are accepting each individual apartment as well as complete infrastructure from the general contractor, Dreßler Bau. The new owners will be able to receive the keys very soon and move into their new homes. Our current clients are no longer choosing their apartments based on floorplans or the sales documents. They can enter each individual apartment and go through every room. This project is truly unique in many ways. The location is superb with great views of the river Elbe and a quick connection to the city center. Marina Garden has an interesting architectural design that combines ecological and modern elements such as ceiling cooling with water from the river Elbe, green roofs, or rainwater irrigation for the courtyard. Worth mentioning are also large windows with a ratio to the facade of up to 90 percent. Preparations for one of the largest development projects by the CTR group are in full swing. To create this unique project – WatsoNova – we are bringing together experts from various fields. The architecture of the project is being created by the award-winning studio Kuba & Pilař. For permits and technical parameters of the project, they are collaborating with local experts, the company KOPA Architekti. The greenery in the exteriors was designed by landscape architects from Three Trees. Visualizations are being prepared by experts from Studio Horák, and the website is conceptually managed by Digital Deers. The quality of teamwork was confirmed by a joint meeting in Prague! We will introduce the project to you soon!

Last week, our representatives attended the expert conference “Housing Development in Dresden”, which took place in the Plenary hall of the New Town Hall. The conference aimed to highlight the importance of investments by Silicon Saxony chip and semiconductor companies for the local labor and housing market, while also presenting ongoing and planned residential projects. The Dresden city Mayor, Mr. Dirk Hilbert, also spoke at the event, which was attended by more than 150 guests from the manufacturing, real estate, banking, and public sectors. Rezidencia Albelli in the center of Košice announced a handover of the 300th apartment. We are proud to welcome new owners in our project. Various apartments as small as studio-size and as large as 3-bedroom are still available.

Many companies organize their Christmas party during the busy end of December. CTR Group traditionally celebrates in January and invites its employees to enjoy themselves during New Year’s party. On Thursday 25th of January we have celebrated last year’s successes in the beautiful Villa Richter located in the vicinity of the Prague Castle. We tasted excellent food and drinks and the legendary magician, Richard Nedvěd, made us laugh during his one-man show. We are ready to tackle the challenges of 2024.

We support musical education of young Czech and Slovak artists through the Brücke|Most-Stiftung scholarship program. We are a partner of the Hochschule für Musik Carl Maria von Weber Dresden and we are pleased that thanks to us Czech and Slovak musicians can acquire skills abroad. Corporate Traditional Roadtrip, this time to Berchtesgaden, is successfully behind us. Last weekend we enjoyed another team building of the Czech and Slovak companies of the CTR group. We climbed the Mount Jenner and enjoyed amazing views of the majestic Alpine peaks and of the valley of Lake Königssee. We spent the next day on a boat cruise, which was not only a relaxing experience, but also an opportunity to admire natural beauty from a different perspective. The evening meeting was devoted to the presentation of achievements and new challenges of the CTR group. And of course, there were also treasures of Bavarian cuisine and refreshing local drinks.
